About Audra Hicks
About Billy Hicks
Billy has always loved to engineer things which earned him the nickname MacGyver from the television show of years ago. Billy, the “techno” person, is known for buying the most up-to-date equipment with all the latest gadgets. Naturally, he takes care of all the business's computer needs. He really enjoyed streamlining the equipment needs of the Big Bear Truck. In fact, some of the refinements Billy developed, the truck manufacturer now offers as options on any truck they build. Billy also created this website, which took a great deal of knowledge, time and effort. Billy's goal is to have the best engineered truck and cleaning equipment because he and Audra believe that their clients deserve the best in terms of quality cleaning care & service.

highest level of training in the industry. He became the youngest
IICRC Certified Cleaner in the U.S. in 2005, at the age of 10. That
same year he also earned his Black Belt in Wado Ryu karate & trained
under Sensei Mike Vanatta in White House, TN. Christopher started
training when he was 6 years old and has always had a love for
martial arts. After being a Journeyman Textile Technician while
taking all the required classes/tests, he became the Youngest IICRC
Certified Master Textile Cleaner, at age 14.Christopher is home-schooled through Aaron Academy in Hendersonville, TN. He has a love for drawing & has a section called “Christopher's Corner” in the Bear Tracks News, the Big Bear Floor Care monthly newsletter. Christopher has made the bear logo into a cartoon strip & the bears are a family that mimic his own. There is Papa Bear, Mama Bear and son, Junior. The family has a dog named Valentine, and they all get around in a red Land Rover. Christopher's favorite car is a Mustang and a Land Rover is his all-time favorite SUV, especially the Defender model. When he starts driving, Christopher wants a Defender for his first vehicle. He loves to be with his family & enjoys traveling with them and his dog, Girly.
About Girly Whirly Hicks
Girly suffered from ear infections, skin allergies and many other ailments before Audra figured out that it was the ingredients in her dog food, plus other foods that she is allergic to. Audra knows how to make Girly's food for her. She has a shiny coat now and is healthy and happy. Girly's favorite thing to do is go camping. Not only is she with her family; she also spends time in the woods and gets to meet other people and their pets. Girly loves to eat, sleep, play with toys, ride in the Rover, take walks in the neighborhood, and enjoy time with her family. She loves to do tricks for treats and knows how to shut doors when she comes in from outside. When her family climbs into the Big Bear Truck to go to work, Girly trots out to the truck to say bye, and, of course, to get her daily parting treat of smoked sweet potatoes or salmon. Then into the house she goes to stand guard all day and wait for her family's safe arrival home!
About Woody the Bear
The Big Bear Truck is why Big Bear Floor Care can be a true “green” cleaning company. This is due to the truck's heat and vacuum power, and our use of “green” products in all our cleaning procedures. Woody represents our effort to preserve the environment. Picture Woody in the environment he loves, hanging out in the woods, scratching his back on the trees, grazing on the land, feeding on fish and drinking out of the streams. If anyone could understand the impact that pollution has on the earth, its people, and its animals, it would be Woody!

Audra Hicks is an IICRC Certified Master Textile Cleaner, which is the highest level of training in the industry. She married her husband Billy after high school, in July 1990. Audra and Billy officially started the family business in January of 1994. Later that year they had their son, Christopher. Audra works in the business every day, side by side with the guys. She believes in recycling & is always researching ways to be “greener” in the business & at home. She also enjoys “family time” in the travel trailer with her family and their dog, Girly. Audra loves to hike in the woods in Gatlinburg, hopping from rock to rock through the river beds in the mountains, searching for the most beautiful natural rocks. She loves nature & animals...her favorite wildlife are bears & she has a love for dolphins since watching reruns of Flipper as a kid. The Bear Logo was Audra's idea years ago because of her love for them. A bear can be aggressive, yet gentle. Same as with cleaning carpet...The Big Bear Truck is the World's Largest & Most Powerful Machine (like a real life bear). It cleans like the most aggressive bear can, but is as gentle as it needs to be both with the carpet & the environment!

Hicks is an IICRC Certified Master Textile Cleaner, which is the
highest level of training in the industry. He married his wife,
Audra, in July of 1990, after their engagement of almost 2 years.
Together they officially started Hicks Carpet Care in January of
1994. And in November of that year Billy welcomed his first & only
son, Christopher. He enjoys taking trips with his family; camping in
the travel trailer, hiking & roller coasters at theme parks.

Girly Whirly Hicks
was rescued from a client's home in Columbia, TN on February 4,
2002, where she was dumped by someone that didn't love her. She
is a Black Lab/Blue Healer mix and super intelligent. She was
about a year old when Audra and Billy brought her home. Her
birthday is celebrated every year on February 4th, because that
is when her life started over again. Her family, Billy, Audra
and Christopher have really spoiled her.
Woody the Bear is the
mascot for Big Bear Floor Care. Woody is very gentle on carpet, yet
aggressive when he needs to be. He has became a part of “The Big
Bear Truck”, which is the World's Largest, Most Powerful Cleaning
Machine. Woody the Bear, is aggressive when needed, because he can
get things cleaner than any other machine. He is powerful. For
example, the vacuum he produces can have carpet dry to the touch
before his truck leaves the job site. Also, that vacuum he produces
can extract things out of textiles impossible to imagine. Yet, Woody
is a gentle bear because there is no need to use harsh solutions
when cleaning; so, he is an eco-friendly bear.
